Steele has lived with Alan and Val Newton, R-tikbreeze Kennels, since 2000 and prior to his arrival had already won a BIS at an All Breeds Champ Show. Only a handful of NZ Malamutes have achieved this. Since then Steele has gone on to win another two BIS's at Champ Shows, a BISS a RBISS and was awarded top Utility and Non Sporting dog of 2003 under three judges. He is the only Alaskan Malamute to have been awarded Pedigree Pal Alaskan Malamute of the year two years in a row.
Litter brother to Barbie, Steele has Copper's impeccable movement and his granddad Harley's stunning head. He has a temperament to die for and is incredibly easy to live with.
